Although you may be correct in that it needs polish, don't forget that this is a great step forward in getting CLI config tasks into YaST. Every marathon starts with the first step.
Now if I could just get wpa_supplicant configuration into YaST . . .
See (and modify) http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_SSHD_Server/Enhancements_WIP
I've filed some real enhancement request at this http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_SSHD_Server/Enhancements_WIP wiki page.
The current YaST SSHD screenshots can be found here http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_SSHD_Server
Some of enhancements are quite easy to do even if you don't known any programming language, what they actually need is just to think about the current wording and propose a better-understandable one.
Thanks & Bye Lukas

Hmm, nobody interested in "How should be the current YaST SSHD module enhanced/fixed?"
Or do everybody agree to what's written at http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_SSHD_Server/Enhancements_WIP? There's not even a single-word-change ;)
So, either everyone likes the current yast2-sshd or nobody uses it. In that case, why should we care :)?
Thx && Bye Lukas

Maybe nobody who is reading this list uses it. I didn't know that it exist, and vim /etc/ssh/sshd_config is still faster. But I don't say that this module is useless for newbies! But they don't read that list.
Thanks, Bernhard

Ah, good point :) I'll try to do something about it...
Thx Lukas

I've noticed you'd like to use tabs for navigation in dialogs (which I fully support, we've used tab navigation in yast2-network module and users seem to be quite comfortable with that). However, should you need more than 4-5 tabs, you'd better consider using tree navigation in the left panel.
One way, or another, you'll need CWM. As I realised today, CWM documentation is publicly available, but well hidden :) For the time being, you can use docbook sources from our Subversion: http://svn.opensuse.org/viewcvs/yast/trunk/yast2/library/cwm/doc/ For the future, we should consider making this CWM tutorial a wiki page on opensuse.org Cheers

hi Katarina,
thank you very much for this information. I was already wondering how I'll have to implement the tabs and only found dumbtab so far. Not sure if it would have been the right thing.
This is my first try I give on putting some effort in a yast module and who knows; maybe it get's usable ;)
so I'm glad for all the infos I can get.

Hi,
On Friday evening, I've changed the UI layout of YaST SSHD Configuration Module to use tabs instead of [Back]/[Next] Wizard. Tabs are more intuitive and match the user's needs and expectations better.
The current screen~shots can be found here: http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_SSHD_Server You'll be able to download the new yast2-sshd package from FACTORY soon.
Anyway, the "call for help" still remains :) There are several places that need to be polished, fixed:
* Helps (they are some, but they're not helpful at all) * Check-boxes could have some better labels (more understandable) * "Supported Ciphers" feature doesn't work. * And some more ... ;)
Anybody interested, please :)?
Thx && Bye Lukas
