[yast-devel] YaST Workshop 2007 Wiki Pages
I added pages on the openSUSE Wiki for the workshop: http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_Workshop_Prague_2007 Everybody who made a presentation or who has notes please add them to the respective section under http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_Workshop_Prague_2007_Day_1 http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_Workshop_Prague_2007_Day_2 http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_Workshop_Prague_2007_Day_3 and please remember to remove the (Add link to presentation here) or (Add notes here) stubs. ;-) How to add a presentation: - Export it to PDF - Upload the PDF to the openSUSE Wiki: http://en.opensuse.org/Special:Upload - In Konqueror (dunno about Firefox) you can copy the resulting URL to the X11 clipboard with the context menu. - Edit the page where your presentation belongs and exchange the (Add link to presentation here) line with something like: PDF (xy MB) [http://files.opensuse.org/opensuse/your-presentation.pdf] The [ ] will shorten the link to [1] or [2] etc. CU -- Stefan Hundhammer <sh@suse.de> Penguin by conviction. Well, that are too many slashes IMHO :) But you pointed in the right direction. When reorganizing the YaST pages lately I grouped a lot pages together. So right now we have the following main structure: http://en.opensuse.org/YaST /YaST/Documentation /YaST/Development /YaST/Development/Documentation /YaST/Modules /YaST/Tips ... with a lot of sites grouped below that (and more to follow). For the workshop page I wouls suggest to use: http://en.opensuse.org/YaST/Events/Workshop_Prague_2007 I will create an overview at: http://en.opensuse.org/YaST/Events The nice thing about using slashes is, that you can navigate back with autogenerated Links. This makes it easy to find related sites and should (in the long run) try to reduce redundant and fragmented data in the wiki. Btw. Next thing to do: Move the very fractional Module-Documentation pages under "/YaST/Modules/<module-name>", review the texts, complete descriptions and provide screenshots. I will create a skeleton for these pages in order to provide a common look and feel (but I will not enforce you to use it). Thanks to everybody helping tidy up our YaST pages. Ciao, Daniel -- J.
