[yast-devel] SuSEFirewall Module Extensions
Moin, It seems that some YaST modules would like to have some new (but quite specific) functions. It's not the first time I have to refuse adding them to SuSEFirewall YCP module to keep it still useful (depends on your point of view). See Bug 401270 - yast2-ldap configuration SLP scan doesn't warn on closed firewall port https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=401270 I'd like to create another SuSEFirewall* YCP module containing these special functions but on the other hand I don't want to create just another module because of one function. Are there any other requests for such SuSEFirewall functions? -- Lukas Ocilka, YaST Developer (xn--luk-gla45d) ----------------------------------------------------------------- Ano, ano. Moudry rozkaz. Sam jsem nemel v tech gratulacich jasno.

As expected, nobody is really interested in having such firewall YCP module (which doesn't make me sad because I don't have to code it :)!) Thx || Bye :) Lukas

Er, is SLP still relevant? Isn't everybody using DNS-SD anyway? If the latter, how does it work with firewalls? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeroconf#Service_discovery -- Martin Vidner, YaST developer http://en.opensuse.org/User:Mvidner Kuracke oddeleni v restauraci je jako fekalni oddeleni v bazenu -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: yast-devel+help@opensuse.org
