[yast-devel] WebYaST feedback
Hi, Stano has already entered the individual problems to bugzilla, but I thought it would be useful to summarize them - Customization is lacking Style sheets are kind of messy. It is hard to replace "My Appliance" with "ACME Foobarizer". Help cannot be customized. Oh wait, there is no help. - Module offer is enough For Foobarizer, his first boot would contain License Root password (maybe Network) Registration He does not expect a need to write a new module for the first boot. But if he needs to, he would write it in their application's framework, not in WebYaST. -- Martin Vidner, YaST developer http://en.opensuse.org/User:Mvidner Kuracke oddeleni v restauraci je jako fekalni oddeleni v bazenu

Yes, there is :-) Well, at least a little bit :-) For webYaST I would like to use the concept of inplace help. That means that we use the empty fields of input forms to give the user a hint of the needed/expected information. I already implemented some of this but it lacks the ruby code: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=562128 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=562126 Buttons labels (radio buttons, check boxes,...) should be labeled so clear that help is not necessary. Looking forward to your feedback!
