[yast-devel] WebYaST appliance
Hi! As a plan B (or fallback), here is VirtualBox image of web-yast: ftp://cml.suse.cz/appliances/openSUSE-11.1_Web_YaST.vdi.lzma Note: it's accessible only from internal network. - upgrade to last VirtualBox version (tested with 3.0.2) - copy and uncompress image into local disk (work with copy) - create new vbox machine and attach existing disk (uncompressed image) - change network type from NAT to Bridged network and use your interface (usually eth0) - user is "hh" and password "hhhhh" (same password for root) - copy and use YOUR ssh key - use IP address of vbox machine instead of localhost - don't forget to have a fun ;-) In case of any questions, just ask ... I have updated the image with the current WebYaST, all WebYaST parts should be fully working. Just boot the image, check the IP it gets during boot (use Bridging mode in VBox, in default NAT mode you won't be able to access it from outside) and enter http://<appliace_IP>:3000 in your web browser. It is currently running at http://dhcp62.suse.cz:3000 (available only internally), you can look at it there... -- Best Regards Ladislav Slezák Yast Developer ------------------------------------------------------------------------ SUSE LINUX, s.r.o. e-mail: lslezak@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 960 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: yast-devel+help@opensuse.org
