[yast-devel] Still a lot of SuSEconfig in YaST modules

Curiosity led me to download the network module of YaST using git from GitHIB. When reading through several files I found a number of time references to /sbin/SuSEconfig and other mentioning of SuSEconfig. I understand that SuSEconfig is gone and I could not find the file /sbin/SuSEconfig on my openSUSE 12.3 system. So I wonder how this works. -- fr.gr. member openSUSE Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: yast-devel+owner@opensuse.org

This is probably related to: https://github.com/yast/yast-network/pull/33 Bye Lukas -- Lukas Ocilka, Cloud & Systems Management Department SUSE LINUX s.r.o., Praha -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: yast-devel+owner@opensuse.org

If you uncheck "automatic configuration" when installing 12.3 RC1 from the DVD, the installer will prominently claim to run SuSEconfig for you. (I guess it's pretending?)

This seems wrong, probably really still some leftover. Please report a bug, attach y2logs and try to write exact error message you read. Jiri -- Jiri Suchomel SUSE LINUX, s.r.o. Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 960 190 00 Praha 9, Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz

I think it's https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=786665 There's no error message or anything, it's just the last step in the network configuration process. (There's a list of actions that YaST is taking, and "Run SuSEconfig" is the last one.)
