[yast-devel] Time to branch the repositories?
As Lukas mentioned in another thread, it's time to start looking to the next big topic(s). And, while there are still some bugs to fix before the release of SLE-15-SP2 / Leap 15.2, we should be very conservative about what we modify there. So, in my opinion, it's time to create the SLE-15-SP2 branches in all the YaST repositories, so we can "go wild" in the master branch without affecting 15.2 and be more selective about what we submit to that release (to not invalidate all the testing done already). Anyone against it? If not, I would do the branching on Monday, so next sprint can already be planned with that separation in mind. I'm fine with branching. Just a reminder: we need to bump some package versions in the SP2 branch, some packages still have version 4.1.x. -- Ladislav Slezák YaST Developer SUSE LINUX, s.r.o.
