Thanks for posting this, good stuff! Wrt the user creation dialog, I would like to suggest adding a tickbox for "accept weak password" - if you haven't already. /Per -- Per Jessen, Zürich (5.1°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - dedicated server rental in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: yast-devel+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks for feedback. So you find current popup with warning that password is weak as not enough? It is just warning, so you can use weak password. Josef

Hi Josef no, I just don't like the pop-up. I think it would be better/nicer to have a tickbox to say "Ignore password weaknesses" (= "I know this password sucks, but I want it". -- Per Jessen, Zürich (4.9°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - dedicated server rental in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: yast-devel+owner@opensuse.org

Or we could "check the password" as users type it... The same way as its done on many webpages these days. Hi Lukas, personally I think that's overkill, but then I rarely use the Qt interface. I just don't really like that pop-up window with "your password is based on a dictionary word" (or whatever it is says), having a ticbox would make the whole thing smoother. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (4.9°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: yast-devel+owner@opensuse.org

Will such "these days on webpages" thingies also work sufficiently well in text-mode (a.k.a. ncurses) used from remote via a possibly slow network connection? In general: What about the good old KISS principle?
