Hi all,
Yesterday I published a short blog post about recording a screencast (a desktop session) to create a video or an animated image.
So if you want to have nice animated images in READMES [1] or in pull requests [2] then check this post [3].
Enjoy!

Today I have published a related blog post about editing the recorded animation. If you need to edit the recording a bit then check this [1].
Enjoy!

I just found Peek, which is a outstanding GUI application that does the same than Byzant but in a fully graphical and intuitive way. And it's packaged for all major distros (including openSUSE, of course).
Enjoy!
