[yast-devel] os-autoinst-distri-yast-modules ~ contributing
Hi, Ancor, Christopher, thanks for creating first tests for yast-modules openQA tests at https://github.com/yast/os-autoinst-distri-yast-modules
From now on, we should start using PRs for adding and modifying the code. For at least these two, well, three reasons:
1. We need to take care about the code as a team 2. The other team members can easily learn about how to write tests 3. It's in Perl Thanks in advance Lukas -- Lukas Ocilka, Systems Management (Yast) Team Leader SLE Department, SUSE Linux -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: yast-devel+owner@opensuse.org

This is actually dead from now on. :-) We found out that the best way to collaborate with upstream's openQA and to get our tests incorporated into openqa.opensuse.org (while keeping all the advantages of our own distri) was using the same approach used by the sle12 and sle11 test, i.e. sharing the same repo at https://github.com/os-autoinst/os-autoinst-distri-opensuse
From now on, we should start using PRs for adding and modifying the code.
That's still true, but they will be PRs to the above mentioned repository. Which is even better because everything will be reviewed by the openQA maintainers (there are a lot of unobvious things that we could overlook otherwise) For at least these two, well, three reasons:

Although all our tests will be incorporated to the main repository, we still have our own ultra-flexible and right-to-the-bone way of running single jobs using our branch. See the intro at https://github.com/os-autoinst/os-autoinst-distri-opensuse/tree/yast-modules It's already installed at yast-openqa.suse.cz as you can see in these example executions: http://yast-openqa.suse.cz/tests/309 (vanilla) and http://yast-openqa.suse.cz/tests/309 (using YAST_HEAD and YAST_RUN_ONLY) Cheers -- Ancor González Sosa YaST Team at SUSE Linux GmbH -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: yast-devel+owner@opensuse.org

I meant http://yast-openqa.suse.cz/tests/310 (vanilla)
