IANA, the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority, has assigned us port 4984 for WebYaST. I have adapted fate 306715 accordingly.

Still looking for suggestions on the client-side port number ... ;-)
I have just pushed out the change to 4984 (REST) and 54984 (UI). This is independent of http(s) and RAILS_ENV. It is done in the start.sh scripts and lighttpd.conf and the docs that mention the port. But now we don't have an obvious place where to tell the user Use http://localhost:54984/ instead of http://localhost/ Any suggestions? Appliance /etc/motd ? I have tested it but quite possibly something can break.
