[yast-devel] Plans for alternates to YCP

Is there any plans for having alternate scripting langauges for YaST other than YCP? I think this would be a killer feature for developers, so that regular Joes who know programming can make YaST modules much easier, using languages such as Python, Perl, or even something like ECMAScript....
