Thomas, If it is because of the gnome-shell, what do you think of splitting some parts to a sub-package for decreasing the default size? The new 256x256 icons consume 8MB. I think it's not worth to split packages.
Even from the "appliance minimal size" point of view? Well, to be honest, there's actually no limit to so called "reasonable size" of a package / appliance. Opinions?
