Hi,
is there a decision about the prefered test framework yet?
Reading this tread and the thread about Requirements for YaST testing framework, for me it seems that 'minitest' has slight advantage. And I think it is agreed that all YaST modules should use the same frame work (as far as possible).
Greetings Gabi
Well, I play a bit with minitest and must say that it contain bunch of functionality, but there is two really annoying things about it. 1) It mocking mechanism - it is limited to be used only in block, so it cannot be used in before stage 2) output of spec-style writing. In fact it just translate it into test/unit tests and output is quite horrible compared to rspec. Question is how big is these two pains and how hard will be to use rspec instead ( it in not part of ruby core ).
