Thinking a little bit further, would it make sense to unify the packages installation progress and the finish clients screen into a single one? After all, we could display a message below the progress bar ("installing packages", "installing the bootloader", etc.).
What do you think?
I like the idea.
I like it too. As a user, those details have been never useful to me.
Perhaps we can offer a "Show details" option for those who are interested to see in detail what's going on. I think Ubuntu and others already do it with a collapsible widget. Deepin[1][2] does it by interchanging the slider with the expert output (aka log).
Althought I like more how it is presented in elementary OS [1][2]

In our case, I would say that our logs are not ready to be shown to the end user. They contain a lot of unneeded stuff, there are typos, and so on. It is maybe time to think about cleaning up our logs? 🙂 Regards, Imo -- Imobach González Sosa YaST Team at SUSE LLC https://imobachgs.github.io/
