In the "Installation Mode" dialog, you can select "Add Internet Repositories Before Installation". What's about this option, please? I think there is a Fate entry, but I cannot find it right now...
Is this about repos the user added on his own? Or is this about some default "Internet Repositories"? What does this mean at all, "Internet Repositories"?
Even if I do not enable "Add Internet Repositories...", in the update case YaST, later on, lists "Previously User Repositories".
This all is very nice, but isn't it a bit confusing to the user?
This was reported as a bug #297580 (Option to Add Repositories Before Installation is Too Unobtrusive). AJ reassigned the bug to me without comment (which in most cases means: "partly agree" ;)) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon Aug 6 08:58:02 CEST 2007 - locilka@suse.cz - Renamed product/default repositories check-box to "Add Internet Repositories Before Installation" (#297580). - Added help for that check-box (#296810). ... - 2.15.40 ------------------------------------------------------------------- So I've renamed that check-box label. See FATE #301785 for the feature definition. Coolo: Please, tell me (Karl might give some good suggestions) how that feature/check-box should be labeled (if you want some other label). About the "Previously User Repositories" during update, this is something different: see FATE #301785.
