[opensuse-xorg] latest ATI-driver fglrx 8.455.2 / openSUSE 10.3
Dear listmembers, just to post an update with regard to the ATI drivers here (as last time, MSI RX2600Pro AGP graphics card on a dual Athlon MP system) 1.) The PCI-ID-Bug has vanished (good). I can leave the PciId entry uncommented and things work as expected. 2.) The mutex error has vanished, too (even better :-) ). So, what regards my system the following summary update can be drawn: - 8.43: crashes & freezes the system - 8.443: does work (except the free_mutex issues) - 8.45.4: does work (except the BusID issue and the free_mutex issues ....) - 8.455.2: does work And, finally: anything that depends on YUY2 support (i.e. tvtime) does not work as YUY2 is currently not supported by ATI. This should be it for February. Anybody knows about plans from ATI to make YUY2 work?
