Hi all, I've got SuSE 9 and want to set up my monitor on it. I have a SCEPTRE D50X 15 inch and the companie doesn't provides linux driver. I was on RedHat 9 and had the same problem. With this distribution, I use the 'Generic svga' driver that comes with it. But, in SuSE 9, I don't see a generic driver. How can I solve this problem ??? Could it be the color resolution ??? If you have the manual then use the horizontal and vertical refresh rates that it speicifies and set it up manually via sax2. There isn't such a thing as a driver for any monitor..it's just a plain text file that Windows or even SaX2 can read to set the parameters correctly. It works this way in any Linux distribution and even in Windows. :) -- Ben Rosenberg ---===--- #147972 ---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org -- Why do we bother with a suicide watch when someone is on deathrow?
