Hi, I`,m having trouble with KDE. After Installing a nd booting Ok I´ve must have changed something or made some mistake any way the proble is I can`t make my system start the X sistema correctly. presumably a video problem The question is how can I disble the X-system (KDE) and boot in text mode? I `ve tryied a rescue system from cd but I`dont know whayt to change after mountind the file system on my hard disk. Any help greatly apreciated cause I´m completely new on Linux My version is SuSe 6.4 Thank you Mauricio
Hi, I've downloaded and installed the fglrx 3.2.4 beta from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/X/XFree86/ATI/suse82/fglrx/3.2.4-BETA/ in the hope of getting my ATI Radeon 8500le card to work with Neverwinter Nights. I've followed all the instructions in the readme yet I can't get X started - the log always says that DRI failed to initialise. I'm running SuSE's latest Athlon kernel, not sure if that has anything to do with things. Hopefully this list will wake up with someone offering some help! :-)
