Hi, I have installed SuSE Linux 9.0 on my box. It ships a XFree86 server of version 4.3.0.1. Kernel version : 2.4.21-99 - default On this configuration , I have installed xf4vnc available at xf4vnc.sourceforge.net. [xf4vnc is an xserver module to facilitate Remote Control or Desktop sharing of the current active desktop ]. The xf4vnc changes the XF86Config file to load its module called the "vnc". After I install this software, X Server crashes with a SIGSEGV. I also had a long discussion with Alan ( The owner of xf4vnc ) and he doubts that the Suse build of xfree86 may have some problem as he was not able to replicate this problem with his build. I am attaching the configuration file XF86config, the modified config file after xf4vnc is installed and the log file . ( I am trying to launch X server on display 1 so i am attaching the corresponding log). Please let me know if you can help me in any way. Hi Vamsi xf4vnc is already integrated into XFree86 4.3.0.1 of SuSE 9.0. There's no need to install any xf4vnc packages. Are there any problems with the vnc module in combination with the i810 driver with our 9.0 XFree86-server package I'm not aware of?
