Hi list,
I just updated the Mesa, libdrm, and Xorg from download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/XOrg/openSUSE_11.1/ Now my system tray icons seem to have problem. It is there, but the icon is disappear. I use Intel GM45, and KDE 4.2 from Factory:Desktop.
Other icons in panel is ok. Anyone with the same problem?
These are known issues in KDE 4 and are very likely unrelated to the X.Org update. Possibly Matthias/Seife can some more details here.
i have no problems with disappearing systray icons, but I am running the latest FACTORY, not a pimped 11.1 ;-)
Actually the problem not only the system tray icon :-) When I play with kwin like rotating the cube, it is so heavy and there is a warning about the composite. Also I feel the Google Earth moving so slow (well, i don't have the measurement) Actually it solved when I used X11:XOrg repo based on http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19242#c54 Now I revert it back to repo-oss (Q3-2008 version), the system tray icon appear again. But the problem mentioned in http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19242 happen also. Where I can get the rpm version you mentioned on the bfo or should I make another bug report?
