[opensuse-xorg] Latest ATI-driver fglrx 8.443
Dear listmembers, to whom it might concern: -> Radeon 2600 AGP works now somewhat with the new driver, -> when trying to modify configuration with sax2 and test prior to saving screen turns black (and remains this way) -> YUY2 - support is missing (baad baad thing ...) -> some errors pop up every other time (Strg - Alt - F10): [fglrx:firegl_free_mutex] *ERROR* mutex id 0x00000002 not found in mutex list (the hex-number is varying) -> performance is about the same (a little worse) than Radeon 9600 (but does not crash, though) So, summary: somewhat usuable, but the missing YUY2-support is bad! Take care Dieter Jurzitza Please take this just as FYI, whoever is struggling with that driver in the very same way I did (do!) -- ----------------------------------------------------------- | \ /\_/\ | | ~x~ |/-----\ / \ /- \_/ ^^__ _ / _ ____ / <°°__ \- \_/ | |/ | | || || _| _| _| _| if you really want to see the pictures above - use some font with constant spacing like courier! :-) ----------------------------------------------------------- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-xorg+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-xorg+help@opensuse.org
