Re: [suse-xfree86] Re: ATI Radeon 9600 driver problem
Being curious I booted into 64bit. There no agp modules were loaded at all (no agpgart, no via_agp, no amd_k7_agp), but testgart produced the following output: version: 0.100 bridge id: 0x31881106 agp_mode: 0x1f000a0b aper_base: 0xc0000000 aper_size: 256 pg_total: 240640 pg_system: 240640 pg_used: 0 base=00000000c0000000 range=0000000010000000 base=c0000000 entry.key : 0 entry.key : 1 Allocated 8 megs of GART memory start=1377994247, end=1377996514 MemoryBenchmark: 1764 mb/s start=1377996519, end=1377998745 MemoryBenchmark: 1796 mb/s start=1377998748, end=1378001398 MemoryBenchmark: 1509 mb/s Average speed: 1689 mb/s Testing data integrity (1st pass): passed on first pass. Testing data integrity (2nd pass): passed on second pass. But that does not really help me on my 32bit system :-( P.J. -- ---------------------------- Peter-Josef Meisch Mail: pjmeisch@web.de ----------------------------

Looks good. On AMD64 the agp support is compiled into the kernel. But when it works in 64bit mode chances are high that it works in 32bit mode as well. If the correct agp module is loaded ... Is BTW anybody reading this list who has the same combination (Siemens D1607 board with ATI Radeon 9600 XT) running and can have a look which modules are loaded? P.J. -- ---------------------------- Peter-Josef Meisch Mail: pjmeisch@web.de ----------------------------
