I am trying to run an xterm on an HP-UX 11 box. Before upgrading my Linux from Suse 7.3 to 8.2 it worked without any problem. After the upgrade, the characters accessed via the ALT-GR key are only accessible by cut-and-paste in the remote xterm. The problem seems to be that the mod3 modifier is not defined any more and that the ALT_R key does not exist any more and therefore cannot be mapped to the mod3 modifier.

Does anybody know, how I can get the ALT_R back, so the xterm on HP-UX works again properly?

Hallo, kommt mir irgendwie bekannt vor. Unter SuSE 8.2 konnte ich die Sonderzeichen mit den Modifier Keys nur erzeugen, nachdem ich diese mit xmodmap im HP-UX expizit definiert hatte und dieses modmapping abhängig vom Display beim Xsetup ausführe.

Sie haben ein etwas anderes Setup, Sie holen sich das Display von einer HP. Ich hole mir nur einen xterm von der HP.

Die Alt-TAB Funktion (Fokus von Fenstern wechseln) ging erst mit Suse9.0 wieder. Auf der SuSE-Seite habe ich, soweit erinnerlich, nichts gemacht.

Anbei ist die Ausgabe meines xmodmap -pke von HP-UX 11i, die Sonderzeichen gehen im hpterm und im xterm (SuSE9.0). Das HP-UX Display kommt mit "X +bs -query :1" auf den Linux Desktop.

Ich hoffe, daß es mit der nächsten Version von Suse wieder funktioniert.
