Dear listmembers, to whom it might concern: if you suffer from strange stripes around your mouse-cursor or / and striped areas on the right lower corner of your screen, put a line Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps" "true" into the Device - section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf. I found this by googling around and it _really_ helps. Can only talk about Radeon 9600. See also http://search.webservertalk.com/message2131453.html same issue, same solution! Maybe someone at openSUSE could put a corresponding hint somewhere in the wiki? I would do myself if you'd provide a pointer where to write it to.
