After installing Suse 9.3 at restart , the screen of my monitor is black color stopped , the same installing Suse 10.0. My computer has an Ati X600 PCI -X graphic card and think there are a disonance between the syncronisme of the monitor and the card.I have probed all graphic modes at the restart of Suse, but always the same thing happens. Anybody has the answering to the problem?.Thanks. jose FC
does this happen with X11 only ? if yes boot into runlevel 3 loot at /var/log/Xorg.0.log see what is going on, what may cause the problem fix it in /etc/X11/xorg.conf use startx to test changes if no you have a problem re, walter jafc01 wrote:

re, walter
Yes.I have a big problem with the ATI Radeon X 600 (PCIe) card, because although boot in text mode after installing, the black screen appears. But when I install Suse 10 or 9.3 with Vesa mode, the process is right till the O.S. look for saving the 1280*1024, 24 bits, 60 Hz of my LCD monitor then the screen returns black. So I can't probe what you said and think that Suse-X11 doesn't fix the 60Hz of refresh frecuency and the monitor is then out of range. Thanks for your suggestion and attention. jose FC
