Hi, If I understood correctly, the new code added that brings support for tv-out to radeon boards (brought partially from gatos) will be included in 7.3, right? I looked and the Xorg packages at software.opensuse.org, but it seemed to me that it was not there yet. Will be available soon? I wanted to test it out, but would prefer to install the RPM packages. I tried the updated RPM, but it didn't work. It seems that it was only merged with head now, so it will be part of ATI driver 6.8 and not included in Xorg 7.3. Thanks anyway. The driver (sources) you tried were merged into head, so it's likely that the (sources of) head won't work for you either.
