Question on ATI-drivers
Dear listmembers, on my 128 MB ATI Radeon 9600XT the drivers work nice. In contrast, if I play i. e. torcs on my second computer with either a 64 MB Radeon 8500 or a 64 MB Radeon 9200 the cars consist of 4 wheels only, the car body is invisible, the landscape is displayed only partially. I haven't found any related errors in /var/log/messages or in the xorg-logfiles. I googled around to find a reason - but in vain. Anyone has an idea what to change to make this work / what could be the reason for the behaviour? Dear listmembers, hi Curtis, hi Matthias, I think I was somewhat unprecise, I am using the ATI proprietary drivers, should I still try to discuss this on the dri-mailing list, or should I forward this to ATI? By the way, I found out that it is not graphics memory dependent, Radeon 8500 @ 64MB, Radeon 9200 @ 64MB and Radeon 9200 @ 128MB show the same behaviour (on two different computers). Hallo Matthias, ähm, ich will Dich ja nicht als Briefkasten verwenden, aber kann SuSE Bugs an ATI posten? Mir ist schon klar, daß ATI (vielleicht solltet Ihr das Euren Chefs auch ans Herz legen, dann kämen keine so nervigen Emails an :-))) ) seine Entwickler schützen will, aber solche Fehler sollten die doch mindestens kennen. Ich könnte auch jeweils ein Screenshot zur Verfügung stellen. Danke schonmal - ich kann auch verstehen, wenn es nicht möglich ist - bis dann Dieter Am Montag, 20.
