Hello, Try disabling dga, either through fglrxconfig or by commenting the "ommitdga" section of your X config. Failing that, use anything but xv - it will be more CPU intensive but ultimately it is a well know ati bug and one more than the ATI people refuse to fix. Now the strange thing is that xine just shows a black screen when I want to watch some video. mplayer crashes with

MPlayer interrupted by signal 6 in module: flip_page - MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen. It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your gcc version. With the sax2 generated XF86Config at least playback with xine worked. The XF86Config I'm using now is attached.
