Forgive my lack of knowledge about X and KDE. I just got finished installing Suse 9.0 and am getting very erradicate keyboard and mouse support. Right after the install, when it asks for root password, the keyboard stopped working. Had to reboot into single user mode to set root password and create users. The keyboard works fine whenever in text mode. However, whenever I go into the GUI environment I get erradicate behaviour. Sometimes the keyboard doesn't work, sometimes the mouse, sometimes both. Sometimes the keyboard works but the key bindings are slightly wrong. Any solutions you can offer would be greatly appreciated. A fresh install isn't out of the question, but I want to track down the problem, as I think a reinstall won't have an affect. It's a Dell G280 System fresh from the factory. Thanks, Brian

There's a SDB entry about USB problems with USB2-devices. Maybe loading ehci_hcd module at boot time would solve the problem (see the SDB about how to do this). Markus
