Hi, I have just installed suse 9.3 on my laptop with a GeForce graphics board. However if I attempt to start X using the nVidia drivers, the computers monitor turns off and the computer freezes. I would greatly apperciate any help pn this. This is the only suse version this has happend with, but it has happend with other distributions. Thanks in advance. Mads Hansen

If you're talking about the binary only drivers from NVidia I'm sorry to say that we cannot help you. Despite them working very well here in our labs, we cannot do anything about these drivers. You will have to contact NVidia WRT this. run "Sax2" from runlevel 3, to configure the resolution and graphics card.. and make sure the test is successful. I have had nothing but instability with Nvidia's commercial Suse drivers.
