But the rest i can't vote for, at least for now! We are late in the release cycle, so lets take baby steps. Maybe: 1) Drop the patches 2) Drop drirc 3) Remove the packages (after the 13.1 split?) 4) Upstream the shared work (as Stefan stated, that it will not get accepted for now)
Don't waste your time with a big SR nobody is willing to accept, so preserve your work with that.
PS: Stefan maybe you can drop a short note about the drirc file?
Yes, switching to upstream drirc makes sense for me. It's some time ago I introduced and changed drirc. Fri Jan 9 19:00:00 CET 2009 - sndirsch@suse.de - /etc/drirc * disable vblank_mode/force_s3tc_enable and enable disable_lowimpact_fallback for r300 driver to fix performance issues with GoogleEarth and OpenOffice.Org (bnc #438666) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon Nov 17 18:35:37 CET 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - added global /etc/drirc to disable VBlank for i915 DRI driver (bnc #432980) And, yes. Baby steps is the right thing to do! Thanks, Stefan Public Key available ------------------------------------------------------ Stefan Dirsch (Res. & Dev.)
