hi list, this is a non-reproduceable bug that i found while testing 7.2-beta. It happened when i was running 2 Xservers in parallel. The problem vanished only after a cold restart (read: power off/on). for people interesting in testing: In the beginning i had to do a chmod +s xorg since my setup did not find the new xserver (/etc/permission contained the wrong path). It seems i had the old permission cached somewhere since the effect was not visible first (what got me confused). i simply started on the CLI with X :1 (and a other already running Xserver) made a few tests, stopped and did it again what caused the error msg. re, wh xauth: creating new authority file /root/.serverauth.4661 This is a pre-release version of the X server from The X.Org Foundation. It is not supported in any way. Bugs may be filed in the bugzilla at http://bugs.freedesktop.org/. Select the "xorg" product for bugs you find in this release. Before reporting bugs in pre-release versions please check the latest version in the X.Org Foundation CVS repository. See http://wiki.x.org/wiki/CvsPage for CVS access instructions.
