but i noticed that the xserver has ksh as dependency. is there a real need ? my exp. says simply replacing /bin/ksh with /bin/bash works fine. (yes, there are differences)
Well, would you like to try to convince the author of this script to switch to bash? I gave up a long time ago. :-( He's a "software archaeologist"! No, you don't need this script. Ignore this dependancy or simply install ksh. :-)
talk to him using /bin/sh :) it is simply anoying to have several different script languages with no obvoius advantages. they fill you hd with stuff without need.
We just checked the script - it never was able to actually run on Linux at all (PATH issues)! Stefan created a patch to kick this script back to the stone age. :*) So expect this dependency to vanish in the near future.
done. Best regards, Stefan Public Key available ------------------------------------------------------ Stefan Dirsch (Res. & Dev.)
