This sounds very much like a severe regression. Please make sure that you're using the very latest X11:Xorg ('zypper in Mesa libdrm' once again), and if it still fails, please open a bug report.
I don't really know what it means but it seams like some assertion is failing ;-)Hope that helps you somehow.
An assert is something that is supposed to be true. If it isn't, something bad BAD has happened before. So let's bail out.
