Re: [opensuse-xfce] openSuse 13.1 shutdown/restart fails

* John Altstatt <jea@altstatt.com> [2013-12-12 22:56]:
By "fails" I mean the power never shuts off, or in the case of restart, never reboots.
The session terminates, the splash screen fades, but the power doesn't shutoff, in the case of restart, never reboots. Pressing "esc" show the last command completed: "[OK] Stopped Collect Read-Ahead"
From a terminal (xfce4-terminal 0.6.2) /sbin/shutdown hangs at exactly the same place.
OK, that sounds like a problem with systemd or a regression in the kernel rather than Xfce. Please file a bug against Basesystem, you can get more verbose output from systemd of what is happening on shutdown/reboot like this: http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Systemd#Getting_debug_from_systemd -- Guido Berhoerster -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+owner@opensuse.org
