[opensuse-xfce] Help resolving login problem
Hi, I am setting up a new laptop using 12.3 RC2 and I copied my home directory and a bunch of stuff from my old laptop. Somewhere along the line I messed up some permission settings and I cannot login :( I use lightdm and am trying to start an XFCE session as the user (non root). When I try to login the login screen disappears for a bit and then returns. I can login as root and XFCE runs fine. The .xession-errors file in the users home directory reads as follows: Failed to issue method call: Access denied Failed to inhibit: Unknown error -1 Unfortunately this doesn't give me a lot of clues as to where I messed up the permissions. Any help is appreciated. Sounds like Bug #789068, try installing the polkit-default-privs update from openSUSE:12.3:Update. -- Guido Berhoerster -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+owner@opensuse.org
