[opensuse-xfce] Third-party packages in Xfce repository
Monday 19 December 2011 Hello. May we maintain third-party packages in X11:xfce repo? I've packaged Pragha music player[1] in home:Lazy_Kent:testing[2] repo. Pragha is suggested as default player for Xfce[3]. It depends on libglyr and libclastfm, that are packaged too. Now I'm in state of testing version 1.0rc3 and working at Russian translation. If we are interested in, I will submit the packages to X11:xfce. I'd prefer if packages in X11:xfce had at least some kind of relation to Xfce, looking at the Pragha website the only link seems to be that it is built on GTK and GStreamer, it neither uses any Xfce libs nor does it reference Xfce anywhere. Would you mind using multimedia:apps as its development project instead, it seems to fit better as it already has a couple of desktop-independent media players such as clementine, xine, or exaile? We already have some rather unrelated packages (whaawmp, lightdm AFAICS) and I'll move them to more suitable projects as well. -- Guido Berhoerster -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+owner@opensuse.org

Incorrect. Pragha depends on exo and keybinder. Both are maintained in X11:xfce. -- WBR Kyrill -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+owner@opensuse.org

It's not mentioned on the website, feel free to submit it. -- Guido Berhoerster -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+owner@opensuse.org

It hardcodes '-O3' in CFLAGS, please patch that out of configure.ac before submitting. -- Guido Berhoerster -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+owner@opensuse.org

This is done[0]. 100% Russian translation is sent upstream[1]. Pragha works well, AFAICS. I'm waiting for 1.0 realease and then will submit it.
