How can I debug this on my updated 12.3 system? Do others suffer from the same? If yse, I'd create a bug.
I just remembered me that I switch to Nautilus last time. But now at least for testing, I use thunar.
Works fine for me. First, check your settings in "Removable Drives and Media" in the Settings Manager, then see if there is any output from thunar-volman in .xsession-errors.
Looks good, automounting is activated, and no output in .xsession-errors.
Please also post the output produced by the following commands when you insert the card:
gvfs-mount --monitor --detail udisks --monitor-detail
Command does not exist; I used "udisksctl monitor ...".
as root: udevadm monitor --udev --property
All three command without any output.
OK, so it looks like the problem is on the udev/kernel level if the card insertion is not detected here, unfortunately that's outside my area of expertise :( You might want to check with the users or better the kernel list on how to debug this.
