I noticed the behavior while trying to use Google video chat. I noticed in the "Mixer" application that when I select the webcam (HP Deluxe KQ246AA) for "PulseAudio Mixer) the "Master" control always has a red dot at the bottom, I take it that implies it is disabled. When I enable it there was no change in behavior. If I leave the mixer and return to the dialog the button is red again.
which mixer are you using, gmixer, xfce4-mixer or something else?
There is also an "Alsa mixer" selection with a microphone selector in the "Mixer" application. This is enabled, but the mic still didn't work.
I am wondering if there are some other knobs I am missing. The camera is connected via usb and picture capture works just fine.
Any ideas?
If you are using pulseaudio you might want to try installing pavucontrol and see if that works better. -- Guido Berhoerster -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-xfce+owner@opensuse.org
