I tried out xfce4-panel-plugin-whiskermenu yesterday and I find it pretty useful, like now obsolete GNOME Main Menu or KDE's main menu. So at least IMO it'd be nice to have in Factory.
As far as I can see, it is actively developing. And I find it usefull too. So I will SR it to Factory any way. I will test a few more days. There is a package made by the author in OBS: http://software.opensuse.org/package/xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin I built the package myself because we follow our naming policy and (I hope) our spec is better.
