3. As Tiger VNC is coming from basic desktop pattern and Remmina rooting from Xfce pattern: would it even be possible to somehow "block" Tiger VNC when installing both basic desktop and Xfce pattern alltogether? You can add a lock to Tiger VNC during the install at the "Installation Settings" screen. That's no what I meant as this involves manual user intervention. I thought of some automatism which prohibits installation of A when B is installed. Similar to RPM's "Conflicts" but I'm unsure if that would work over patterns?
It might be possible to set some conditionals in the Xfce Pattern spec file but even if doable I am not entirely convinced it is the right way to do it. I would prefer it if you or anyone would open a discussion about Tiger VNC in Factory ML first.
