Hello, Today I went to opensuse-wiki pages and found all Japanese Translated pages are ill coded. Many characters are turned into a black circle with white question mark. What do you think happend? Could I correct them in some ways? noniko noniko@netbeans.jp

Yes, it's exactly now I am repairing. I have tried to decode the page to escape code and numbers, still unsuccessful...is there any good ways? I found Chinese pages are also wrong coded. noniko noniko@netbeans.jp

ok what kind of encoding your browser sees? did you try to manually switch the encoding? many browsers can do it from the "view" menu.

same question here. please toy around with the encoding. but be aware there is opensuse.cn which will be moved soon into the cn.opensuse.org wiki. If you can help fixing the japanese pages i would be glad. maybe we can than soon provide you a japanese opensuse wiki. :) with kind regards darix -- openSUSE - SUSE Linux is my linux openSUSE is good for you
darix Good morning! Yes, it's morning here in Japan. I'm sorry for my hours of absence. while I was trying with encoding(I use firefox in SUSE 10.0), it was midnight and my family hurried me up to shutdown PC and go to bed. And my conclusion is: manually encoding didn't give me a hope. Lucky or not, my page was still a few (and it was a good lesson for me to remind me of the golden rule "Keep backups!!!!"). I'm now going to fix them with better translation this time. :) I'm glad for your proposal on japanese wiki. Thanks! Ganbarimasu("I keep hanging on" in Japanese). noniko@netbeans.jp
