[opensuse-wiki] Connection resets on wiki forum
Hi all, I'm trying to provide support on the forum. However, my browser's connection keeps getting reset so I cannot log on. :-) Cheers! Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org

Try to restart browser and log only to forums. Try another browser. I have often different behavior with different browsers.

if it is a new install of 11.3: try disabling IPv6 by adding ipv6.disable=1 as a kernel boot parameter if not: what does that mean "browser connections keeps getting reset"? are you getting an error message saying that? what operating system/version? desktop environment/version? browser/version? all software up to date? did it every work correctly, and then one day suddenly stopped working? I have been running 11.3 with KDE SC 4.5.00 with Firefox 3.6.8 for awhile. I deleted each add-on one by one and still the connection was reset to the browser. The only way to resolve this was to delete .mozilla directory. And, reinstall the addons. The problem was not with KDE. The .mozilla folder got corrupted. The problem has been resolved. Thanks for responding. :-) -- Cheers! Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org
