[opensuse-wiki] failed search
Went to en.opensuse.org to get the direct url for email list netiquette and searched for "netiquette" and was advised that there is no listing, but, knowing it does exist, found: http:en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Communication_channels with the text: "mailing list netiquette" which is a link to: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Mailing_list_netiquette Having read several other negative remarks about searching the wiki, I must comment that this is ridiculous and reflects very poorly on our love, openSUSE distro. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org

i've often advised folks to use a free world class search engine to do such searches of 'our' wiki (since 'our' searcher is broken).. for example stuff this into the nearest Google search blank: site:en.opensuse.org "mailing list netiquette" and see what pops up (HINT: click on the number one hit returned.) ymmv, DenverD -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org

I mean, you expect this type of result from the "dark side", but ... -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org

And we already work on a replacement for the default database search. Stay tuned. Henne -- Henne Vogelsang, openSUSE.
