I'm trying to add a page, but first I felt like playing in the sandbox a little.. But no matter where or when I click on an "edit" link, I get presented by downloading the index.php file... Any ideas on when that may be fixed? -- Anders Norrbring Norrbring Consulting

hi, works for me ... i would be interested in the php file it offers you for downloading. can you save it and mail it to me privately? and you are sure it is not the browser cache that is fooling you? and you are sure it is not the browser cache that is fooling you? (please test the cache purging _after_ saving the index.php. :)

Can someone tell me why there are a sprinkling of non-English pages on the English wiki? Are they lost, or should they be there as pointers? For instance, on the Category:Installation page there are a couple of JA pages and a PL. And Category:Projects has 3 JA, 2 RU, 1 CN, 1 PT, and a Verkefni. <http://en.opensuse.org/Verkefni> Should their links to English categories be removed? --- L Greg Lisle

Hi Greg, That are translations in progress. We should figure out how to handle that. The openSUSE.org core team is the one that will decide, but they were open to good ideas. One way would be to make temporary category for instance <lang>-Installation, that will be replaced with appropriate word in <lang> once it get it's own web site. The other way would be to set up wiki languages.opensuse.org that will serve as language central point, switch and workspace for translators. -- Regards, Rajko.

In accordance with the translation guide, I've translated the Projects page to Icelandic, and moved the page to Verkefni. I've translated all the basic pages, and moved them to their equivalent icelandic page. If there's any other preferred way, I'll edit the pages.

OK, so the problem is that there is no place for translation work-in-progress to be assembled, except the main (English) wiki. Gee, that seems to be an oversight. ;-)

you are right. people who want to translate are send to this page http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Translation_Guide but of course the others are not :-) We need probably a page on "how the wiki is organised", may be a fix to one of the already exsisting pages of similar subject.
