Looking real good. Can we perhaps find a way to help people wanting to buy a box set in Europe? Or at least mention in the text that Europeans can buy the nice box at national resellers. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org

"Standard PC" looks quite odd for me. I think It's worth to replace it with "32 bit PC", since a bulk of modern processors support 64bit (aren't they "standard"?) -- Regards, Nikolay Derkach --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org

Looks really great. The only thing I still have to say is that base CD 4-5 _are_ optional, not necessary/needed for a normal installation, so I think they should be moved into the optional category. very smart :-) two notes: dl cd's, the 5 cd's are quoted "needed". basically only the first is really needed and we are working in this direction I know... but letting the instruction "howto burn an image" at the end will lead of nobody reading it (may be no even seeing it). you should write _on top of the images_: "iso images to be burned as such, not as data file" (and link to the bottom it's not visible immédiately that the links are iso images finally, I hope than the mirror choosing mechanism will be enhanced. notice that the localization can be tedious: When I tried (right now), I was directed to the "cict", a data center 10 km from my house, but the data path goes as far as Paris before coming back to me :-( could it be possible to use the dns data? My ISP have an openSUSE morror, certainly much better for me jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://gourmandises.orangeblog.fr/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org

OK, here we go ;-) Good: - Network installation now has its own media type. Thanks for accepting my proposal! - no bugs found while playing with the font size - many other things - in fact everything I don't list in the next section ;-) Bad: - There's no info _which_ languages are on the "Extra languages" CD. Please add a "Details..." link next to it. - for media type DVD, the language CD is not offered. Yes, I know that it isn't a DVD image from the technical POV, but the additional languages are not on the DVD and therefore missing in the DVD section. Please add it (as optional). - the "How to Proceed" section does not adapt to the chosen media. Especially step c should be changed depending on the media type. - "Help" links open in the same window - might be annoying because it makes it harder to go back to the download page. Opening the help in a new window might be a good idea. - the language dropdown doesn't work - but I guess you know this already... BTW: http://en.opensuse.org/INSTALL_Internet needs some clarification. It says: This install only works for the Release Distribution. Network installation repositories for Factory releases like development, alpha, beta and rc do not exist. When reading this quickly, one could interpret it as "Factory can't be installed via network" (because of the "only works for ..."), which is of course wrong. There should be a note that Factory itsself can be installed via network, while there are no separate snapshots of alpha or beta versions available. (Sorry, I'm too tired to fix the text myself.)
