[opensuse-wiki] [info] page cache on the wiki
I just noticed that the page cache work on our wiki is very detailed. This may give very surprising results when editing, so this post. I use to look at the fr wiki frequently (as I'm sysop there) and so I have the http://fr.opensuse.org/Utilisateur:Jdd_sysop on Konqueror URL list. I also have on this page a summary of the "recent changes" when I connect to the wiki, I'm not logged. I see a page with a summary. 10 minutes ago, I had the summary for the july 10 only. When I log, I have the same page, but with the good summary (pages edited today) I needed to have the good page, adding ?action=purge at the end of the URL the time cache seems to be near of 24h jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki-unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki-help@opensuse.org

atm i would say Works as designed. the page cache for anonymous user helps to reduce load on our server. want me to disable it and get back to the slow wiki?:) darix -- openSUSE - SUSE Linux is my linux openSUSE is good for you www.opensuse.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki-unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki-help@opensuse.org

nope. I was aware of this when debuggind the wiki interface recently. (the sidebar placement problem). The layout was different when logged and not logged, with the cache time I couldn't see the effect of page modification when unlogged. I had time to find a solution, so I thought interesting to have the problem and the solution mentioned in the list archives. even If the solution is not at hand, I know than when I have once read anywhere a description of the problem and I fall on it there is a trick and so I wonder less :-) it could be a wiki page but where? and the ?action=purge result is not that evident. I have it on my page as a link and it didn't give any good last time. However it did the trick today. data processing mysteries :-) jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos
