[opensuse-wiki] SEO Optimization in wiki
Recently I had asked about SEO optimizations in our wiki The mail was as follows I can speak for the wikis... They have probably been somewhat penalized over the summer because of the recent changes (wiki.opensuse.org to en.opensuse.org and en.opensuse.org to old-en.opensuse.org). I have set up a Google Webmaster account to submit sitemaps for the different wikis to try to help clean up the index. Google has given a couple of suggestions on SEO optimization on the wiki itself, but nothing major. -Matt >>> Manu Gupta <manugupt1@gmail.com> 09/14/10 12:25 PM >>> Hi All, I have a question how well optimized is our opensuse.org. Although I am no expert in this matter, however I am this question because I find other google pages in google search which I have not really opened in months rather than opensuse.org which I open almost everyday -- Manu Gupta <manugupt1@gmail.com> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-web+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-web+help@opensuse.org The point is we are not still unable to get top notch searches for our wiki and it is really bad as that deprecates our public view. Maybe we can have a mediawiki based extension which we can look on( I dont know if they are installed on) http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Advanced_Meta Also I noticed we do not have google analytics installed, maybe that can help too. -- Manu Gupta <manugupt1@gmail.com> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org
