[opensuse-wiki] Finnish translations
Hello all! I would like to start translate openSUSE wiki to Finnish language. I found one Finnish page in wiki, but its terrible outdated: http://en.opensuse.org/FI-Welcome_to_openSUSE.org . I creted account to wiki with username 'Owdy' and added myself to finnish translators list. Is there anything i should know before i start? Follow the guide, and also the more detailed guide, thats all. Guestion; guide says that i should save wiki source when translating. But when i look 'Welcome_to_openSUSE.org' page, i dont see edit link. So i can't see the source. I can edit all other pages, just not that one. Okay, im little confused. Guide says i should translate also templates like {{DownloadNavigation}} . But when i look for example swedish page, they arent translated? http://sv.opensuse.org/Nedladdning I added :en: tag to those links where i wanted them to go to english pages, like this [[:en:Development_Version|Lataa viimeisin kehitysversio]] . Is that correct way to do that? I could translate whole tag but then it links to finnish page that not exist, right? Attached are my first openSUSE wiki translation. Looks pretty good! The only "error" I noticed is an obsolete "''" at the end of a paragraph (... ladata ja testata sitä.''). (This was already wrong in the English versin) It's easy to test your documents in the "live" wiki: Log in on en.opensuse.org and go to a page that does not exist, e.g. http://en.opensuse.org/Myveryfirstwikipage and click on edit. Paste your wiki text into the input field and then click on "Show Preview". You will see the text as it will look in the wiki. Hello Seems user 'Birchbay' is translating wiki pages to finnish too, under english wiki. This is great of course, but he/she has published partially translated pages, for example this http://en.opensuse.org/FI-Welcome_to_openSUSE.org . There was openSUSE Graphics, Featured Article and most of news missing. I finished that page. I put my translations under english too so we dont do double jobs with this. Anyone know how to contact him? We should work together with this.
